Introduction

To enhance my fluency in Arab cultures

Do you speak Arabic? If so, what dialect(s). Do you know Modern Standard Arabic (FuSHa?) Can you read, write or speak FuSHa? Your answers will help us better offer suitable language workshops for the club.

I can read, write and speak Fusha and Moroccan (both intermediate). I am learning Egyptian.

Have you visited the Middle East, &, if so, where & in what capacity? For that matter, where have you traveled outside the US? Do you speak any other languages besides English & Arabic? No, this info won't be shared with the FBI !

I was born in Abu Dhabi and lived there until I was 14, and I spent 16 months from 2007-2008 living as a researcher and student in Morocco. I also have traveled to Doha, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Tunisia and Syria.

How did you find this group and, now that you're here, what do you want from it? For example, do you prefer Middle Eastern Music events, Dinner Parties, Language Workshops, Live Theatre, or just getting together to meet new people and have fun?

Thru google. A good mix of activities sounds good!

Do you have any experience working with Non-Profits? I ask because I'm considering establishing the club as a Non-Profit in the near future.

I have interned at non-profits involved in immigration rights, health research and a social center for children.

What is your current job/profession/field? What is your dream job?
